Working towards a
happier, healthier
tomorrow
About
My work focuses on developing high-quality digital technologies and demonstrating they work on problems in healthcare, medicine, and the life sciences.
Originally trained as an infectious disease epidemiologist, I've worked in Google's deep learning lab and IQVIA's Center for Advanced Evidence Generation. I specialize in evaluating the impact of health technologies & medications and translating research into building effective tools and processes. I work at the intersection of health and technology, often facilitating partnerships between the two communities. I teach workshops and courses that offer an accessible introduction to AI, deep learning, and large language models. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was part of the multidisciplinary team that created the Apple/Google Exposure Notifications API.
With over a dozen years of scientific experience, I’ve worked extensively in medication safety & efficacy, AI/large language models/deep learning, pandemic response and preparedness, study design, causal inference methods, and biostatistics.
